A federal law has been published, providing for the possibility of exchanging legally significant messages through the Gosuslugi portal.

The functioning of the electronic mail system will ensure the exchange of legally significant messages between participants of legal relations, including the receipt and delivery of applications, notifications, notices, demands, and other official documents.

From September 1, 2027, electronic mailboxes will appear on the Gosuslugi portal for organizations, individual entrepreneurs, and natural persons having an account in the ESIA. This tool will allow the exchange of documents and messages, and will also contain a function for searching for addressees.

Legally significant messages sent in accordance with the conditions of a transaction or the requirements of normative legal acts will, in a number of cases, be received, including at the specified mailboxes.

A fee is provided for the use of an electronic mailbox. In the absence of payment, access to the service is blocked until the moment of the deposit of monetary funds. The specific amounts of payments, the procedure, and the terms of their payment are established by the Government of the Russian Federation.
